Your tasks

The starting point for you as a teacher is to work with planning, teaching, evaluation, and value-based work based on the curriculum. In this role, you will drive the work of creating an inspiring and up-to-date music education for our students. The work is largely independent as you are the only music teacher in the organization, but you also collaborate with colleagues who teach other subjects. You are part of the practical-aesthetic subject team but also receive support from other colleagues in the organization.

As a teacher in grades 7-9, you collaborate with guardians, colleagues, and others present in the school to achieve a higher goal fulfillment and create the best conditions for each student. You start from the student group you meet and are expected to create varied and challenging teaching. Using digital tools is a natural part of your teaching.

Your workplace

Ånestadsskolan is located near the central parts of Linköping and has two school units, F-6 and 7-9. Each unit has a principal and an assistant principal. This position is placed in the 7-9 unit, which has about 270 students and 45 staff members. Students come here from different parts of Linköping municipality.

You who are applying

First and foremost, we are looking for someone who has a teaching license with the qualification to teach music in grades 7-9. Secondly, we are looking for someone with a completed teacher education for grades 7-9. Alternatively, you are at the end of your education to become a teacher in grades 7-9. It is an advantage if you have qualifications to teach additional subjects in grades 7-9, based on the needs of the organization.

It is a requirement that you have experience working in a curriculum-driven school through practice or as an employee. It is advantageous if you have taught in grades 7-9 for at least one school year.

In your role as a teacher in grades 7-9, you have good knowledge of the school's mission and are well acquainted with the curriculum (Lgr22) and other governing documents. You have good communication skills in spoken and written Swedish. This is to ensure that you, according to the curriculum (Lgr22), organize and carry out the work so that the student receives support in their language and communication development. You are responsible for ensuring that each student can use the Swedish language in a rich and nuanced way.

As a teacher, you are a good role model and have clear leadership in the classroom. You have the ability to adapt your teaching to the students and allow them to participate in shaping the teaching. In a quality-conscious manner, you create good conditions for the student's development and learning and document it. You collaborate well with colleagues, guardians, and other contacts in the community that are relevant to your professional role.

Employment form: Permanent employment. To be valid as a permanent position, a teaching license must be presented; until then, a fixed-term employment applies.
